Greenoil off-line filter systems

GREENOIL STANDARD has developed a unique product for lubricating/hydraulic oil filtration which, thanks to its patented system, is able to simultaneously remove free and emulsified water as well as the smallest water particles during the filtration of particles!

The innovative principle of water separation is a maintenance-free solution; the filter element only needs to be replaced when it has reached its absorption capacity due to soiling. This not only saves costs but also reduces the amount of hazardous waste.

The filter element

The most important aspect of filtration in the bypass is the correct selection of the filter type(filter element). Different filter elements are available depending on the type of oil, viscosity and degree of contamination.

GREENOIL STANDARD filter elements are suitable for cleaning lubricating oil, hydraulic oil and gear oil. In addition, different filter finenesses can be selected, starting from 2µm up to 9µm (absolute), the optimum filter element can be used depending on the application and degree of contamination. Depending on the type of soiling, the dirt pick-up is approx. 1.5 – 3.0 kg.

The filter material used is pure sheep’s wool, which, when viewed under a microscope, has an uneven structure (fir branches lying on top of each other) and, as a natural product, has the continuous density and durability of wool.

Additional function, water separation

In addition to contamination of the oil by particles, water is another trigger for malfunctions and damage to system-relevant components in the oil circuit. Water can occur in different states, as dissolved water, free water and as an emulsion. Whatever form the water takes, it should be removed as quickly as possible.

The GREENOIL filter systems work with a patented water separation system. A thin film of oil flows along the chamber wall in the separation chamber. A heating element creates an ambient temperature of 100-120°C. The circulation of the heated air causes the water to evaporate from the oil film, thereby promoting evaporation through the vent line.

No additional filter element is required for this process and it does not have to be replaced due to wear and tear caused by the water.

OFF-LINE FILTER SYSTEMS FROM GREENOIL STANDARD

The GREENOIL STANDARD off-line filter systems can be used in bypass, both stationary and mobile, for effective depth filtration of lubricating and hydraulic oils.

Ultra-fine filtration allows particles of up to 3 µm (absolute) to be filtered out using specially developed filter inserts made of sheep’s wool.

Depending on requirements, free or emulsified water can also be absorbed. A patented system removes the water from the oil without the need for a filter element.

Most of the filter systems are made of stainless steel and are therefore also suitable for outdoor use. All GREENOIL systems are designed for 24/7 operation.
