Here is a small excerpt:<\/p>\n<p>In IGF project 1, the performance potential of high-pressure coolant supply in the processing of steel materials was investigated.<\/p>\n<p>X5CrNi18-10 and 42CrMo4+QT (S &lt; 0.01 %) were examined. It was clearly demonstrated that the use of high-pressure coolant supply in the turning of the steel alloys mentioned leads to a significant increase in productivity and process reliability. While tool life increases of more than 60 percent were achieved during external longitudinal rough turning of the stainless steel X5CrNi18-10 at a coolant supply pressure of 150 bar, the tool life when machining the heat-treatable steel 42CrMo4+QT was even increased by a factor of 2.6 or 4.4 in direct comparison with conventional flood cooling (K\u00dcK). These increased tool lives therefore provide the best conditions for increasing the cutting speed and consequently increasing productivity, which helps to save costs in production.<\/p>\n<p>For
